Ident and Titles

I've used a black background and white font for my product, as it is conventional and therefore makes the product look more professional. The large amount of black and small amount of white also represents how much more evil there is than innocence in my product.

Font wise, I chose slim capital letters for the actor's names and production elements, as they looked the most professional out of the fonts I tried and testers. For the actual title of the film, I used an elegant swirled font as it is a conventional font for thriller/hybrids to use, and this makes the product more easily recognisable to the audience.

All of my text fades in then out again, and I used this effect because it gives the idea of mystery and enigma: not knowing what's going to surface and not knowing what's going to vanish.

Whilst my actor's names are being shown, different names appear on random parts of the screen for random times. I wanted this to give the idea of disorientation and enigma, which both relate to my product well.

I used the noise of footsteps at the start of my product, which also creates enigma. Not being able to fit an image with a sound is disorientating and mysterious to the audience, making the outcome of my product likely to be more dramatic. The noise of footsteps quickly fades into the noise of a landslide, which I used because landslides are extremely dangerous, which I wanted to link in with my main character and the entire atmosphere of my product.
